Anna Kii is a rope artist and fashion designer based in London.
She is the founder of Figure of A which is an accessories brand inspired by Japanese rope bondage - Shibari.
After practising rope bondage for several years, Anna’s idea of wearable Shibari was born - tying together her passion for Shibari and design.
Figure of A translates traditional rope patterns used for binding the body to clothes and accessories, where rope has both a functional and decorative purpose. It is Anna’s hope that her product’s wearability and amenity with contemporary fashion will help lift Shibari from the underground, recontextualising the art form in the public imagination to the aesthetic, sensual and consensual practise it truly is.
As a female rigger she is emphasising the gentle relationship between women with whom she ties sensually and slowly, playing with senses and interesting shapes, mesmerising both model and audience.
Anna also creates art with rope beyond the body, like installations within space, rope decoration at events and ambient Shibari tying performance.
Anna is also a keen Shibari model and enjoys a role reversal. Together with an experienced rigger where there is a deep understanding of rope on both sides, a beautiful tying session can evolve she will happily follow as a bunny.
RoryRopes is a shibari educator & performer.
Rory enjoys playful & dynamic rope and is a fan of incorporating body manipulation alongside rope. Rory likes to make sure his rope puts the model’s well-being and needs first, he believes that rope can be for every body and likes to adjust, learn and develop ties that enable those with injuries and disabilities to fully experience shibari.
Rory is the founder of Rough+Ready - creating handmade kink toys and bespoke kink furniture, and selling rope and shibari based accessories.
He is also a co-founder of Quiet K!nk - a neurodiverse friendly kink party.
