January is totally okay... after all, I'm here in January...

It's also our first trip to GC.

Gran Canaria - Januar - 
We think it's the best time. 
All the year IS great time to go to canary island, in the south of the island IS much better with the weather
We are in Maspalomas in June - hear that isn’t the best month, but it’s when we have the time to travel…
in June - July - August the loneliest months, summer break on the island, many places are closed
