Bingo Shigonawa

More than a decade ago, Shigonawa Bingo began supporting Yoi Yoshida’s Good Studio, one of the main breeding grounds for the current generation of rope bondage exponents in Japan, including Kasumi Hourai, Kinoko Hajime, Akira Naka, etc.

In 2011 he performed at LFAJB, London, and with Yoi opened Bar –UBU–, Shinjuku in 2012. He regularly teaches Shibari classes and 1–on–1 instruction, promoting individuality, etiquette and creativity. He has also taught in Rome, Paris and Copenhagen.

Known for his trademark purple rope, Bingo is a specialist in sadomasochistic Kinbaku play.


Kasumi Hourai

After receiving basic instruction from the legendary Akechi Denki aged just 20, Kasumi Hourai went on to establish her own bondage studio in her hometown of Nagoya 4 years later. She has previously had connections to both Kinoko Hajime and Akira Naka, and has been a regular performer at Yoi Yoshida’s Onna Matsuri (women’s rope bondage festival).

Kasumi’s style is mesmerizingly feminine, and she brings highly ritual Otemae–ceremony style artistry into her Shibari, defining subtle and delicate eroticism and sadism.

Well known in the west, Kasumi has been teaching workshops and 1–on–1 instruction internationally since 2014.


Kazami Ranki

Having founded Circle M’s, Osaka for sadomasochist lovers in 1996, where names such as Akechi Denki and Shima Shimitsu would perform, Kazami Ranki is one of the giants of the Japanese rope bondage scene.

He has been performing and teaching for the past 20–years all over the world, instructing his particular style of Shibari.

As is typical for a dominant from the Kansai region, he is known for both incredible suspension transitions, and hardcore sado–erotic performances.
